Marina Dorica is located in a sheltered position on the north-west coast of the Gulf of Ancona, the only large inlet of the central Adriatic coast, set between the city’s promontory and Mount Conero, which boasts a coastline dotted with bays and coves with crystal clear water.

Also the waters immediately outside the marina are well protected in adverse weather conditions with waves and wind coming from south-east and south-west.

SEABED

The seabed is sandy with a depth that ranges between 2.5 m and 3.2 m in the main basin, and over 5 m in the eastern basin.
During low tide the seabed at the entrance of the marina can be reduced to less than 3 m.
For boats that draw over 2.2 m we recommend checking the tide level before entering or leaving the port, maintaining a speed below 3 knots.

ACCESS AND LEADING LIGHTS

The entrance of the port faces WNW, before entering contact the marina using VHF channel 8.
When you arrive from NE, the leading lights are inverted; approach with the red light 100 m on the left; a short protection panel at the entrance extends the breakwater and is signalled with another red light.
